About True REST

Founder’s Nick and Holly Janicki started The True REST™ Float Spa in 2009.

Nick discovered floating in November of 2008 after watching a Joe Rogan video. He immediately sought out the experience, but the nearest center was a few hours away. Nick and Holly eventually were able to visit a location in Sedona, Arizona. The experience was intensely relaxing, senses were revived and moods were noticeably elevated. In the car ride back to Phoenix, Nick and Holly talked about the possibility of opening a higher end float spa.

Nick began writing a comprehensive business plan and started diving into the almost untapped industry. It seemed float spas in the US were almost non-existent. He then traveled to the UK and tried out several different float manufacturers before deciding on the Float Pod design.

In the next 6-months, Nick and Holly began looking for a location and signed a lease for a location in Scottsdale, Arizona in the summer of 2009. Build out began in September of the same year. They opened the first True REST Float Spa in February 2010.
