About Spaulding Decon
Spaulding Decon was born from a desire to help families in need. While serving as a police officer in Kansas City, Laura Spaulding witnessed the devastation caused by crime. The already grieving families were shocked to discover that the police were not responsible for cleaning up the scene. At that moment, Laura decided to work with the family herself to get their home cleaned up. Laura worked crime scene cleanup as a side job until 2005 when she left the police force to focus on it entirely.
For the first year, Laura was a one-woman operation. In 2006 she hired her first employees and expanded into more industries, including drug lab and hoarding cleanup.
In 2016 Spaulding Decon moved into a franchise model, becoming the first nationally franchised decontamination service to offer crime scene, hoarding, and meth-lab cleanup throughout the United States.
We approach every job with the same goal that sparked our creation, to help people in need. Whether it is mold removal or cleaning up after an unattended death, we treat every job with the care and compassion it deserves.
