Right at Home was founded in 1995 by Allen Hager in Omaha, Nebraska. Unlike any other home care franchisor, Allen’s background was in hospital administration. He witnessed older patients check out of the hospital, struggle with the recovery process while at home, and then be readmitted to the hospital. Seeing the need, he created a way to provide ongoing assistance for clients who are aging or have disabilities in the comfort of their homes. After spending five years fine-tuning the business model, the Right at Home franchise was born!

Timeline and Process to Become a Franchise Owner

It typically takes 30-60 days for us to complete our research on each other. During this time, we want to get to know you as a person – your background, your accomplishments and how business ownership will help you reach your goals. We also give you the opportunity to get to know us as individuals and as a company, and to get answers about everything you need to know prior to moving forward with us.

After the Franchise Agreement is signed, most franchisees open for business within three to four months. Below you’ll find a summary of each step of the process.

But, before you open your doors, there’s some work to be done. You’ll visit Right at Home’s global headquarters in Omaha, NE to attend our highly-rated training program. This two-week course is designed to familiarize you with all aspects of the business. You’ll hear from experts throughout the organization whose goal is to provide you with a solid foundation so you can hit the ground running when you return home.
