Plus, we offer 6 months same as cash, an early purchase discount, competitor price match and free same-day delivery.

Why Franchise?

Rent-A- Center is the most well known and successful rent-to-own brand in the country.
85% of Rent-A- Center stores are corporate owned and approximately 15% franchise owned. With approximately 2,400 corporate and franchised across the U.S, Puerto Rico, and Mexico our experience in the industry is 2nd to none.

From 2018-2020 Rent-A-Center engaged in an ambitious re-franchising program creating numerous successful 20 to 100 store multi-unit franchisees across the country. We also have many franchisees with 1 to 15 stores that we equally value. Our franchisees benefit from our brand and model that perform quite well across many types of economic cycles including 2020 and the foreseeable future. No corporate or franchisee stores are for sale at this time and we are not actively recruiting new franchisees currently. We encourage you to check back with us from time to time.

How Much Does It Cost To Open A Rent-A-Center Franchise?

There are several costs associated with opening a Rent-A-Center franchise. There is typically a franchise fee set by the franchisor, which covers the costs of opening a franchise location. Some other commons fees include equipment fees, marketing fees, licensing fees, insurance, and taxes, to name a few.

Some franchises may have a weekly fee that the franchisee pays for operating a Rent-A-Center franchise. The weekly fee for opening a Rent-A-Center franchise is Royalty Fee Payable The 10Th Day Of Each Month On Prior Month’S Gross Rental Payment And Sales.

The full breakdown of these fees can be found in the Financial Disclosure Document (FDD) provided to franchisees by the franchisor. The FDD report will contain additional information such as whether the franchise is renewable (Rent-A-Center Is Renewable) and does the franchise offer financing support (Rent-A-Center Rent-A-Center has relationships with third-party sources which offer financing to cover the following: startup costs, equipment, inventory).
